9/30/22-Reflection

I didn’t go to school today so I have no clue but everyone is in DC.

9/29/22-Reflection

Yesterday was very fun in class. We continued reading Fences but the story was getting better & better. Like how he cheated on Rose & got Abertha pregnant. I would’ve never suspected that but shaking my head. Don’t trust dudes!!!

9/27/22-9/28/22 Reflection

I left early on these days so have no clue what happened but I went to work after. Based on others, I heard we continued reading and had a lockdown.

9/26/22- Reflection

On Monday, we read a book called Fences. We started the book last week but we went into more depth & details. We also continued presenting the pagers and it was very good. Telacy is most likely still my favorite.

What I know about the Latino culture is that most believe in Christianity. They have a holiday called “Day of the Dead” where they pay respect to the dead. Some speak spanish.

9/19/22- Reflection

Today we started reading a book called Fences. It seems very interesting and I look forward to reading more about it.

9/16/22 -Reflection

Today was okay, Mr. Rease wasn’t here. We worked on constructed response worksheets. I didn’t finish but i was on question #5 out of 6. I also ended up leaving my airpods and charger at school and had to go back to the school to get them. Scary right?

9/15/22 - Reflection

Today Mr. Rease was not here so we had a sub. The sun seemed very nice and chill. The assignment for today was to work on our one pager about “The Rockpile.” I focused more on planning my pager out by sorting out the vocab, quotations, etc.

9/14/22 - Reflection

Today we did a quiz on The Rockpile. I know i failed that quiz without help. But I know the point of the quiz is to practice analyzing & the process of elimination. Eliminating 2 wrong answers is very helpful and I will be using this tactic more.

9/13/22- Reflection

Today we read more about “The Rockpile” and analyzed it. The story seems very interesting yet confusing. I’m sure if i reread the story, I could get more into it.

The RockPile Alternative Ending

As John was picking up the lunchbox, his father kicked it. Chasing after the lunchbox, the step dad pushed the child down face forward. “Ouch” John screamed. “Why would you do that?” Elizabeth questioned Gabriel. “He deserves it for going to the rockpile when he was told not to” Gabriel aggressively responded. “I agree, but that’s too much” Elizabeth said while helping her son off the ground. “John go to your room, we’ll talk later” Elizabeth demanded causing John to run upstairs teary eyed.

Bell Ringer - 9/12/22

My neighborhood is very closed out from others. It’s unrecognizable to others since nobody, that i know, lives in the neighborhood. What stands out is how diverse the neighborhood is. A eyesore is maybe the lack of kids. It’s mostly adults in my neighborhood so if they had kids, the kids would most likely be teens. My mom allows me to go outside in attempt to make friends but none of the teens be outside. So therefore, I stay inside my warm & loving house.

9/9/22- Reflection

Today we read about a soldier/veteran experience during the war. We also defined words. The life of a soldier must be very traumatizing.

Bell Ringer-9/9/22

I believe that their past experiences affect them now in a frightening way. They could have random flashbacks after a certain sound. For example, If you drop something the sound could trigger as a gunshot to a veteran. This might affect a fathers relationship with his children a little. It would probably be the same but the child would probably be more cautious with sounds.

Reflection- 9/8/22

We did nothing but complete the benchmark test. I didn’t get to finish and I find it very embarrassing. I know it will drop my grade tremendously but I know I’ll be able to bring it up.

Reflection- 9/7/22

Today we worked on our benchmark and I only got up to #14. Most of it was about History.

9/6/22- Reflection

Today we learned more about Emily’s past life. She seem to be a very pure woman who states how she felt. We did a 3-2-1 on her and finished up the assessment.

9/2/22 - Reflection

Today in class we took a assessment about Emily Dickenson. The poems that were included were very depressing and saddening. The only one that is memorable to me is the buzzing fly poem. It caught my eye.

Reflection- 9/1/22

Today we did not attend Mr.Rease’s class due to us being on lockdown. But today was a very boring day due to us being in 3rd block most of the day. I strongly dislike that class so that made it worse.
