 I missed school and decided to stay home and had a lil 3 day weekend. I totally forgot about finishing my first test from yesterday in spence but at least I can do it Monday.

 Today we started off class reading an exam prompt. The prompt of the day is about making friends without cell phones. As you can tell, it’s argumentative. We discussed the supports of our position. We spent the whole class period discussing our prompt & doing a argumentative essay step by step.

Happy birthday Nate!! It’s my best friend birthday and I also didn’t come to school for a mental health day.

 Today we presented our group projects. It was VERY boring & Im happy I won’t be here tomorrow for the rest of the groups. These opened discussions in the class, especially with the trans right group.

Today we went back to our groups & continued the group work. Out of the 10 steps, I completed 5 & 9. But did I complete my work in class? Of course not. I took my iPad and went to Philips class to finish it. When I came back, the group was partially gone but we completed the docs & powerpoint. 

 Today in class we were introduced to a project. The project is a presentation. Our topic is Walmart closing. For our setting, we based it off of Chicago. Out of the 10 steps, we only did 5.

 Today we did a bell ringer and an illuminate on what we did yesterday. We talked on implications, both bad and good. Today our situation was on businesses. If a business was out for a day, many would lose money but be more better at budgeting.

 Today we started off class listing 5 things we doubted and 5 things we were certain about. I doubt life itself but i’m certain that i’m black. We made sure to make connections with our certainty & doubts. I believe that there is a relationship between the two. We created a claim & evidence to support our position.

 Today we started class off defining perfection & what we strive for. I strive for success but that’s not a valid answer. Later, we read a ap essay question & created a chart.

 Today in Mr. Rease class, he allowed students who didn’t do their essay to complete it. Then, throughout the class we created 5 questions to get ourselves ready for the exam. Rease made sure to answer everyone’s questions and was very helpful. Though I most likely don’t use the advice but it’s good to know.

 Today during class we had to write a Rhetorical essay. We started around 2:05 and ended around 2:40. I ended up completing my introduction and half my second paragraph. But i have faith in my progress even though I didn’t finish. It’s cool though. The topic was Alfred M. Green and his persuasion of the fellow african americans to persuade them to join the Union side

 Today in class, we focused on our Rhetorical devices. Rease pushed our essay back till tomorrow since he wasn’t here yesterday. We analyzed a speech made by Barack Obama about Rosa Parks. After analyzing, we created a thesis statement and explained it with evidence. To close the lesson off, we started small talk about prom and etc.
